From Amla to Shikakai, these simple ingredients can help you achieve healthier hair this monsoon. This season demands extra attention to maintain beautiful, healthy tresses, so it's essential to put in the effort to keep them healthy.
The rainy season gives immense respite from the heat but also brings with it numerous hair woes. Issues like dandruff, dryness, hair breakage, dullness, and extreme frizz often occur during monsoon. Here are some natural ingredients that can help promote hair growth.
Amla, rich in iron, vitamin C, and antioxidants, is highly beneficial for hair health. Its antioxidants cleanse the scalp and help prevent hair fall. Mix two tablespoons of coconut oil with two tablespoons of amla juice. Apply this mixture gently onto the scalp and massage. Leave it on for one hour, then wash your hair with a herbal shampoo.
Onion juice is abundant in sulfur, which helps prevent hair breakage, reduces hair fall, darkens greying hair, and promotes hair growth. To use onion juice, extract it and apply it all over the hair, especially on the scalp. Leave the juice on for one hour, then wash your hair thoroughly.
Fenugreek seeds can also be very effective for promoting shine. To use them, soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in a bowl of water overnight. Grind them into a paste in the morning and apply it thoroughly on your hair. Once the paste dries, wash your hair with lukewarm water. You can use this hair mask twice a week to promote hair growth and reduce hair fall.
Shikakai powder is rich in antioxidants and vitamins like A, C, and D, which prevent hair breakage and promote hair growth. To use it, mix equal parts of Amla powder and Shikakai powder, then make a paste by adding water and apply it to your hair. Once it dries, wash your hair.
