Wondering what to make for Sawan celebrations that your family will enjoy? We have just the right recipe for you. Your family will surely love this quick Mysore Pak made from gram flour (besan). Let’s learn how to make this delicacy at home.

Ingredients for Mysore Pak

•    1 cup gram flour (besan)
•    1½ cup sugar
•    1 cup ghee
•    ½ cup water

Follow these instructions:

Step 1- Start by sifting the besan. Add half a cup of gram flour to the ghee. Mix well until fully combined, then let it rest for a while.

Step 2- In a pan, mix half a cup of water with one and a half cups of sugar. Cook the mixture until it reaches the desired consistency.

Step 3- Add the besan mixture to the sugar syrup right away. Continuously stir the batter to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. You'll notice the colour of the gram flour changing over time. Once it does, add the remaining ghee into the mixture. Continue stirring until the besan begins to separate from the ghee.

Step 4- Pour the mixture into a tray that has been greased with ghee and lined with butter paper.

Step 5- Spread the besan mixture evenly in the tray. After a short time, cut it into small pieces with a knife. Don’t wait for too long, as it may become harder to cut into pieces.

Your delicious Mysore Pak is now ready to enjoy!
