“The film will be shot in approximately 70 days across Chandigarh, Palampur, Kashmir and Ladakh, beginning with DAV college, where Vikram studied. However, it won’t be a marathon schedule, as Sidharth has to take a break in-between for the promotions of his next film, Jabariya Jodi," the source revealed.
The movie will be helmed by director Vishnuvardhan, a former associate of filmmaker Santosh Sivan.
Captain Vikram Batra led one of the most heroic mountain operations during the Kargil war and was referred to as 'Sher Shah' in the intercepted messages from Pakistan. Batra was grievously injured when he braved enemy firing to drag an injured soldier to safety. He was 24-year-old. The martyr was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honour in 1999.
