Tamil popular director AR Murugadoss is all set for his latest release Sarkar, which stars Vijay in the lead role. Now, a piece of news that is doing the rounds is that Murugadoss will soon join hands with superstar Rajinikanth for the first time, and Sun Pictures will bankroll the film. Rajinikanth and AR Murugadoss will come together and their film with reportedly go on floors in January 2019.

An official announcement is awaited from the makers, which is expected soon. Currently, Rajini is shooting for Karthik Subbaraj’s movie Petta with actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui of Bollywood fame, Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha Krishnan and Simran.

The shooting of Petta has been majorly done in Darjeeling and Dehradun. Petta is expected to release next year. The team has currently geared up to wrap up the final schedule of the film.

Speaking about Murugadoss, the ace filmmaker is caught up with the post-production work of Tamil star Vijay's Sarkar, which is one of the biggest releases during Diwali.
