Adnan Sami welcomed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and said that it is for protection of people from persecution in theocratic states.
Popular singer, both in Pakistan and India, Adnan Sami took to Twitter and supported the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 that was passed in Lok Sabha.
"The CAB Bill is for religions that are being persecuted in 'Theocratic States'. Muslims are NOT persecuted for their religion in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Bangladesh because they are in majority over there. Muslims CAN still apply for Indian citizenship like before. All are welcome through the legal 'Front Door'!" Sami tweeted from his official handle.
