Authentic pancakes have carved out a special place in the hearts of today’s discerning consumers, and Uncle Peter’s Pancakes is taking this love to a whole new level. With a mission to bring a bit of Paris to India, Akashdeep Dan and Sundeep Singh founded Uncle Peter’s Pancakes in 2019 as a humble cloud kitchen in Bangalore. Since then, this amber-yellow-hued cafe for pancake enthusiasts has blossomed into a thriving chain with over 40 outlets across fifteen cities. Now, in their endeavour to make Uncle Peter’s Pancakes the country’s top homegrown pancake brand, founders Akashdeep and Sundeep seek Sharks’ expertise on Shark Tank India 3.
Speaking about the experience Co-Founder & COO, Mr Akashdeep Dan said, "Shark Tank India was a life-changing moment in our lives, both as individuals as well as for our company! It’s difficult to articulate in a few words the overall experience, from pitching infront of the sharks to seeing ourselves on Tv for the first time! The sharks were so good in making us understand our flaws and we will incorporate their suggestions immediately! We were a bit nervous before entering the tank, but once we entered the tank the sharks with their welcoming and friendly attitude helped us settle down! Shark tank has become such an integral component of every Indian household, that we felt we knew the sharks from a long time ago! Overall this experience will help us become better, and more confident in our quest to create the biggest pancake brand in India"
The Sharks are in for a treat as the founders reveal the heartwarming story behind the brand’s name. Akashdeep and Sundeep were inspired by a chance encounter with an American man, Peter, during a visit to Manali. Uncle Peter’s authentic pancakes, whipped up in their homestay kitchen, left an indelible mark on the duo’s palate. Furthermore, the taste of their pancakes delights the tastebuds of all Sharks, making for a memorable moment. With an ask of Rs 60 lakhs for 2% equity, Akashdeep and Sundeep aim to turn their big dream for Uncle Peter’s Pancakes into reality. But will the Sharks take a bite of this delectable opportunity?
