Sources are citing that the move is not 'moral' but more calculative
Mumbai: Following sexual harassment allegations levelled against them, actor Nana Patekar and filmmaker Sajid Khan have unceremoniously bowed down from the upcoming flick, Housefull 4.
Actor Tanushree Dutta had accused Patekar of harassing her on the sets of Horn Ok Please. Her allegations sparked a nationwide movement with women coming forward to name, shame and blame their sexual abusers using the hashtag #MeToo.
Following this, many women came forward to share graphic details accusing Khan of sexually harassing them.
According to portal SKJbollywoodnews, Patekar and Khan's ouster from the movie was not a 'moral' move by producer Sajid Nadiadwala but rather an order from the top rung.
A source from the House Full 4 team reportedly told the portal, “The film is being produced in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. When news of Nana Patekar and Sajid Khan’s alleged misconduct broke out there was a probe from Fox’s headquarters in LA. Immediate removal of the offending individuals was demanded. Nadiadwala had to act without losing time. Or else Fox would have backed out.”
