Here's sneak peek into Rajinikanth and Nayanthara's looks from Darbar
Mumbai: Tollywood actors Rajinikanth and Nayanthara were spotted on the sets of their upcoming film, Darbar, in Mumbai. The movie, which is directed by AR Murugadoss features Yogi Babu and Vivek have also joined the mail crew in Mumbai. The massy entertainer is all set to release during Pongal 2020.
A photo of Nayanthara’s look in the film has leaked on the internet and fans cannot stop talking about it. Nayanthara is seen wearing a white sari with black and gold border. She has also tied her hair up in a bun. This will be Nayanthara's fourth film with the 68-year-old superstar after Chandramukhi, Kuselan and Sivaji. On the work front, she will also be playing the female lead in Atlee and Vijay’s Thalapathy 63.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth, who is playing a cop in the movie is seen in a new, young look. Rajini’s look from the shoot has also been leaked and it’s definitely going to make you very happy. Rajinikanth was last seen playing a hostel warden with a violent past in Petta. The superstar is seen wearing a shirt and sporting sunglasses. The Sout Indian superstar will be playing a policeman on-screen after 25 years. He last donned the Khaki uniform in the 1992 Tamil film Pandian, which was directed by SP Muthuraman. His other police officer role includes Alex Pandian from Moondru Mugam, which released in 1982.
Filmmaker AR Murugadoss took to Twitter to unveil the pictures of the pooja in Mumbai before starting the shoot on April 10.
Meanwhile, the makers of Darbar unveiled the first look of the poster a day before beginning the shoot last month. Not only Rajinikanth's loyal fans but many South Indian celebrities went into a tizzy with the Murugadoss's tweet with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Meher Ramesh, Karthik Subbaraj, Vikram Prabhu and many others tweeting their appreciation for the poster.
