Pawan Kalyan, known for his role in Telugu cinema and now as the chief of Jana Sena, is actively participating in the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections, collaborating with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Chiranjeevi's gesture of support came to light during his visit to a movie set where Pawan Kalyan was present, along with their other brother, Naga Babu. During this visit, the Jana Sena chief also sought the blessings of actor Waltair Veerayya, further underscoring the amalgamation of politics and entertainment in the region.
The donation was formally announced by the Jana Sena Party headquarters, highlighting Chiranjeevi's commitment to supporting his brother's political aspirations. The transaction, involving a Rs 5 crore cheque, took place in Pochampally, situated 80 kilometers from Hyderabad, as reported by various sources.
Amidst preparations for his upcoming film "Vishmbhara," Chiranjeevi's interaction with Pawan Kalyan reportedly included discussions on political strategies and other pertinent topics, reflecting the familial bond transcending into the realm of politics.
In the backdrop of previous election outcomes, the upcoming polls in Andhra Pradesh hold immense significance. In the 2014 Assembly elections, the Telugu Desam Party, led by Chandrababu Naidu, secured 102 seats and formed the government, while Jagan Mohan Reddy's Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) won 67 seats. However, the 2019 elections witnessed a significant shift, with the YSRCP emerging victorious with 151 seats, relegating the TDP to a mere 23 seats.
