A poster, titled Assault made by a fan club for the upcoming movie of Sivakarthikeyan (SK) and Nayanthara stirred controversy with director Boopathy Raja, who has been working on another movie, co-incidentally named Assault as well. The fan club stated that the upcoming film of SK would be titled as Assault and that the official announcement was yet to be made. 

Director Raja's upcoming flick, Assault with Jayawanth in the lead, is nearing its completion. The director said that the title was finalised and registered this March and that the project is at its post production stage now. However, this poster, he said has created a block in the production of the film.     

Raja demanded for a response from the team regarding the title of the film and quoted that he previously worked with Sivakarthikeyan as a choreographer. Clearing the air, producer of SK’s 13, Gnanavel Raja said that the title for the upcoming project was not declared yet and that it would be announced in the near future, clarifying that the fan-made poster title was false.
