The Internet went into a tizzy soon as soon as Deepika Padukone unveiled her wax statue via an Instagram Live. The hashtag #StatueOfPurpose started trending too.
London: On March 14, Deepika Padukone unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London. The wax statue features Deepika's IIFA look of 2016, where she donned a champagne coloured cape lehenga designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. From the diamond-emerald neckpiece and earrings to Deepika's embellished lehenga, every detail has been replicated for her statue. Take a look.
The Piku actor was accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh and parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone and, her in-laws Jagjit and Anju Bhavnani. She looked thrilled and also posted photographs along with her wax statue. The actor seemed very excited and also clicked selfies, pictures and videos that she shared on her social media handles.

In the pictures, we can see Ranveer was smitten by his wifey and also her wax statue. Take a look
Ranveer was awestruck looking at the statue and was seen circling around the wax figure and said, "Can I take it home." To this, Deepika said: "Now when you're here shooting for '83 and miss me, come here."

DeePee's sister Anisha shared a picture of the actor adoringly looking at the wax statue from the event and wrote: "As if one of her was not enough... Double trouble #madametussauds #waxstatue #london." Anisha's Instafam declared this post as "caption win." An Instagram user wrote: "Only sisters can come up with such captions," while another added: "You're the funniest." Deepika Padukone also posted ROFL emoticons in the comments thread.

The wax statue definitely symbolises her success as an actor on a global scale. Other Bollywood actors who already have their wax figures in Madame Tussauds include Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be working in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak which also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role.
