Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has once again made it to the list of 'world's most admired women in 2019'. The global icon has become the first woman to be ranked in the top five of the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. The actress, who is portraying the real-life roles of Lakshmi in Chhapaak and Kapil Dev's wife Romi in '83, had earlier topped the list of the 'Most Gorgeous Women in the World from Bollywood'.

The actress has portrayed really powerful women's roles on screen earlier and is now working in a project in which she is an acid attack survivor called Malti. Drawing instances from the life of Laxmi Agarwal, Chhapaak is a story of strength and integrity of a woman. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie is set to release on January 10 next year.

The actress is also starring opposite Ranveer Singh in the biopic based on the life of the cricketer Kapil Dev. The stunning couple will be sharing the screen for the first time after their wedding.
