Stand-up comedian Bharti and her husband, writer Haarsh Limbachia, who tied the knot recently are the first contestants of Bigg Boss season-12, as officially announced by the host Salman Khan.

The 12th season of Bigg Boss is all set to be telecast on September 16. The theme of this season's reality show is said to be 'vichitra jodi', which means weird pair.

Rumours are rife that other contestants might be Srishty Rode, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Ridhima Pandit, Shaleen Bhanot, Neha Pendse and television star Dipika Kakar.

It is also rumoured that Dipika has been offered double the amount offered to Hina Khan (Rs 7 to 8 lakh per week). Hina was the participant in the last season of Bigg Boss. Dipika got married to actor Shoaib Ibrahim in February.

This year's contestants will enter the house in pairs and Bharti and Haarsh have already made it to the confirmed list.

All these years, Bigg Boss was launched in October, but this the show will be on air a month ahead. And for the first time, the launch of this show will be held in Goa unlike previous seasons, where the show was held in Lonavala.
