Today, Twinkle Khanna posted a picture of her father and late yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna on Instagram and penned a beautiful note to wish him on his birth anniversary.

December 29 is Rajesh Khanna’s birth anniversary and it is also his daughter Twinkle’s birthday. Since the father-daughter duo shares birth date, Mrs Funny Bones penned a heartfelt and nostalgic post on Instagram.

She posted a black and white photo of Rajesh Khanna, dressed in a white kurta and wearing sunglasses, waving at the fans, Twinkle wrote, “As a toddler, I was convinced that all the truckloads of flowers that would arrive for his birthday were actually for me... #nowandforever”.

Akshay too shared a photo featuring Rajesh Khanna, Twinkle and Dimple Kapadia on his Instagram handle and wished both his father-in-law and wife a happy birthday.

The image’s caption read, “While growing up I’d heard fascinating tales of his superstardom, never imagining one day I’ll marry his fascinating daughter…thank you for giving me this precious one❤️ Happy birthday to both of you 😘😘.”

Rajesh is one of the first actors who had 15 consecutive solo blockbusters from 1969 to 1971. Rajesh had made his debut with the film Aakhri Khat in 1966. He was famously referred to as the ‘first superstar’ of Indian cinema, having a host of romantic movies to his credit like Aradhana, Aan Milo Sajna, and Amar Prem to name a few. Rajesh passed away in July 2012.
