•    On the morning of August 7, Wednesday, the day of Hariyali Teej, begin by bathing and resolving to fast and worship. Follow fasting rules throughout the day.

•    Set up the idols or pictures of Lord Shiva, Parvati, and Shri Ganesha in the praying area during one of the auspicious times mentioned. Apply kumkum tilak to the pictures.

•    Decorate with flower garlands and light a lamp with pure ghee. Start by worshiping Lord Ganesh, offering Durva, Abir, rice, laddu, and other items.
