Mumbai: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar had a reason to celebrate on Friday (August 30) as he achieved a “first” in another sport and described it as a “special day”.

The 46-year-old Tendulkar, who retired from international cricket in 2013, is still most-followed by fans all over the world wherever he goes. Also, on Twitter he gives regular updates to his supporters and they are always excited to read what he posts.

On Friday, the Master Blaster posted a 29-second video where he is seen celebrating his first eagle on a golf course. Yes, he proved his worth on the golf course too, this time at Willingdon Golf Course in Mumbai.

“Another sport, but a special day by all means! My first Eagle at Willingdon Golf Course. #SportPlayingNation #FitIndiaMovement (sic),” Tendulkar tweeted to his 30 million-plus followers.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched “Fit India Movement” on National Sports Day yesterday (August 29), Tendulkar has been promoting the importance of playing a sport.

Today’s golf video too is part of Tendulkar’s “Fit India Movement” tweets. On Thursday he had played cricket, tennis, badminton. In the videos posted, his former teammate Vinod Kambli was also seen. Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Abhishek Bachchan too played cricket on National Sports Day, with Tendulkar.
