The T20 World Cup match between Bangladesh and Nepal was no short of a thrilling rollercoaster ride. From a painfully low target of 107 to Sakib's 4-wicket haul against Nepal's batsmen, the match was full of ups and downs till the end. Tanzim Hasan Sakib pulled the victory out of Nepal's hands and drove Bangladesh to a remarkable 21-run victory over Nepal. 

With this stunning victory over Nepal in the T20 World Cup 2024 Group D match on Monday (IST), Bangladesh has entered the Super 8s stage. 

While Nepal's bowlers did a stellar job of keeping the opponent team's batsmen in check, keeping the target score an easy 107, Bangladesh's fast bowlers stole the show and bundled Nepal for 85.

Nepal had a comfortable target to achieve; however, Tanzim Hasan Sakib gave the team some early shocks with his two wickets. With the pressure building for the Nepal team, Sakib went on and got four wickets in the match. There was a time in the match when Nepal was at 26 for 5 before Dipendra Singh Airee and Kushal Malla had a 57-run stand. 

After this win, the Bangladesh team qualified from Group D and entered the Super 8s for the T20 World Cup 2024, after South Africa. With the Bangladesh team qualifying, the Netherlands has been eliminated from the competition. 

Bangladesh has now also become the first-ever team to defend the lowest total ever successfully in T20 World Cup history.
