KD Singh entered the business domain at the age of 19 with no experience, no Godfather, and no money. He had a lot of aspirations, conviction and determination to work hard and fulfil them his dreams. Fresh out of college with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, he was a man with big ambitions and bigger determination.
In the early days of KD Singh ‘s career he realized, in order to succeed, he has to enter the manufacturing business, therefore the group's first plant opened in 1988. He earned a name for himself in the manufacturing industry by sheer hard work and innovative ideas.
After exploring his business abilities, KD Singh decided to enter politics with an intention to serve his nation. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand in 2010. After only a few months, he crossed sides and joined the All-India Trinamool Congress. Anti-defection legislation was deemed ineffective because he was the only member of the house and thus the party's house-leader. He was quickly promoted to Party Leader of Northern India (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Chandigarh).

He has received the Rashtriya Ratan Award from the Integration and Economic Council of India and Udyog Ratan Award from the Institute of Economic Study for his excellent participation in Economics Work. Professor Malcolm McDonald, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at Cranfield University School of Management, and Ms Priti Patel, British Member of Parliament, who is now Home Minister of UK, presented the prestigious prize.
