Elon Musk is getting sued by former executives of Twitter, including former CEO Parag Agrawal. The lawsuit claims Elon fired them just after getting ownership of the company and hasn't paid their one-year salary and severance pay. X is under a lot of fire due to many lawsuits from former employees, PR firms, vendors, landlords and others over payment disputes.
Tesla and Space X Co-founder, Elon Musk is getting sued for $128 million by former executives of X (Twitter) including the former CEO Parag Agrawal. The lawsuit was filed on Monday in a court in San Fransico. Elon Musk has been a part of many controversies and lawsuits since he purchased Twitter in October 2022 and renamed it X. He bought Twitter for $44 billion which brought a lot of trolling and doubts from people online.
Other people among Paras Agrawal who filed this lawsuit are Vijaya Gadde (formal chief legal officer), Ned Segal (former CFO), and Sean Edgett (former general counsel). The plaintiffs claim that Elon fired them as soon as he bought the company and denied promised severance pay. They were also falsely accused of misconduct. Musk also allegedly denied them one year’s salary and their stakes in the company.
The former executives of the company also accused Elon of torturing people and forcing them to file a lawsuit against Elon so he could trouble them in court. "This is the Musk playbook: to keep the money he owes other people, and force them to sue him," the former executives said in the 39-page lawsuit.
X, the renamed Twitter, is already going through a lot of class-action lawsuits by previous employees and managers. Elon allegedly has not paid the employees’ severance payment and has around $500 million to pay. The company has denied all these allegations in the lawsuits. Another lawsuit the company has is also related to incomplete payments to its public relations firms, landlords, consultants, and vendors.
The company has not come forward with this for any clarification, and when asked about the lawsuit and the allegations by Reuters, X has not responded yet.
