At the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Emergency', Kangana addressed questions regarding her future in Bollywood. She stated that her continued presence in the film industry would largely depend on her audience’s reception. “Whether I continue acting or not is a decision I leave to the people. For instance, I never expressed a desire to become a leader; it was the public who showed faith in me. Similarly, if 'Emergency' succeeds and the audience wants to see more of me, I will continue. If politics proves more successful and where I am needed, I will follow that path,” Kangana explained.

Upcoming Film 'Emergency'
Kangana's film 'Emergency', slated for a September release, is a significant project where she not only stars but also directs and co-produces under her banner, Manikarnika Films. The film, set against the backdrop of the Emergency period in India (1975-1977), features Kangana as Indira Gandhi. The cast includes Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The late Satish Kaushik will portray Jagjivan Ram, the former Deputy Prime Minister of India. Kangana’s dual role in the project underscores her commitment to both her political and cinematic careers, leaving her future open to the opportunities and needs she perceives in both fields.
