The movie was released in 2009, however, it is still relevant and has a cult following. 3 Idiots not only captivated the audience with its relatable characters and gripping storyline but also left a strong impact on the viewers. While the film received tremendous love from all corners, Aamir Khan's character, Rancho, became especially relevant among the masses. Its fervor doesn't seem to settle down easily, as The Academy has now acknowledged a scene from the film.

The Academy took their Instagram and posted a video of a hilarious scene from Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots, lauding Aamir Khan's iconic character Rancho and his excellent presence of mind. They further wrote the caption:
