Tamannaah Bhatia has filed a contempt of court petition against a company for continuing to use her image in advertisements even after the contract expired. The Madras High Court has scheduled the next hearing for September 12.
Tamannaah Bhatia, who stepped into the film industry at the age of fifteen, has been successfully pursuing her career without looking back. She got her first success with the movie 'Happy Days'. Since then, Tamannaah has not looked back. She is successfully continuing her career by doing Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She acted opposite stars like Prabhas, NTR, Ram Charan, Ravi Teja and got good success.
In this order, Tamannaah is busy in movies, web series, and various commercial ads. However, Tamannaah filed a petition in the Chennai High Court against the continued use of some of her commercial advertisements even after the expiry of the agreement. Hearing the case, Single Judge Senthil Kumar Ramamurthy issued orders imposing an interim injunction restraining the jewelry companies from using Tamanna's advertisements.
However, Tamannaah again approached the Madras High Court and filed a contempt of court petition alleging that some companies are still using expired advertisements. The case came up for hearing before the division bench of Justices Senthil Kumar and Ramamurthy. However, R. Krishna, the lawyer for the company, argued that his company had stopped the release of the advertisements featuring Tamannaah, and how could they be held responsible if some private individuals were using them on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Insta, Facebook.
With this, the judges said that a writ petition should be filed in this case. Also, the next hearing was postponed to September 12. Not only this, Tamannaah also filed a case against a soap advertisement, but no lawyer appeared on behalf of the company.
