Heeramandi actress Sharmin Segal has been experiencing brutal online trolling and bashing since the release of the Netflix Sanjay Leela Bhansali show. The actress not only received backlash for her acting and performance in the series but also for her interviews, especially her 'outsider' comment on Sanjeeda Shaikh, which infuriated the audience and turned everyone against her.

In a recent interview with Times Now, Sharmin addressed the viral interview clip and said that some moments from her interviews have been taken 'out of context'.

Sharmin Segal's response to her viral video with Sanjeeda Shaikh

When asked about the viral clip from the interview with Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Shaikh and if there is an 'insider-outsider' narrative created by people, Sharmin said, "Again, this is something I don't know. What I do know is that my interviews were being taken out of context and some of my co-stars have spoken graciously as to how these interviews were taken out of context. I share a very cordial equation with both Aditi and Sanjeeda. I wish that people would not use 10-second out-of-context clips to define the relationship I share with them.”

Sharmin has also been criticized for her comment that Aditi Rao Hydari is a 'school girl'. In a viral Instagram video, Sharmin talked about Aditi and said, "Aditi is a good school girl, please understand that. Teacher will say you have to submit your home work at this time and Aditi will do exactly that and not one more word than the word count limit. That is Aditi for you. So, according to her everyone is late and she is on time.”

Several people online slammed Sharmin for her rude behavior, and some even called her an unprofessional person.
