Fawad Khan is one of the most charming actors to grace the screens of Indian cinema. His work in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' left everyone wanting more, but as his fandom in India was growing, Fawad disappeared. However, he is back and ready to take rule over the OTT scene. In an interview with PTI over Zoom, Fawad Khan opened up about his new role in the supernatural show 'Barzakh'.

Talking about the fans in India, Fawad said, "I have always been very thankful to fans who have waited for me and I apologise for making them wait for so long. But it was not in my hands."

"I'm a firm believer that everything has its own time... You say that 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' but we also have another saying, 'aankh ojhal, pahaad ojhal' . This also happens," he added.

Fawad is back with his 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' co-star Sanam Saeed. The trailer of the show posted on YouTube by Zindagi and ZEE5's official channels made quite a buzz. Now fans can't wait to see their favourite actor back on the screen.

Fawad Khan created his massive fan following due to his undeniable charm and talent. He became a household in the subcontinent due to his shows like 'Dastaan', 'Humsafar', and 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai'. He later also worked in several Indian films such as 'Khubsoorat', 'Kapoor & Sons', and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. As his career in Bollywood was about to take off, the fraught relations between India and Pakistan hindered his work in the industry.

Talking about his global fanbase and the challenges of stardom, Fawad said, "To be able to hold on to your position of being a renowned actor has become more difficult, especially in the age of social media... There are performers and talented people everywhere."

When asked about what's next for him, the 42-year-old actor said, "I can only say that the coming time is going to be very interesting. If you are waiting for my work, there is a lot that's going to come out next year. I feel that everything should happen at its own pace and in a good environment... Hopefully, 2025 will have a lot more content coming from my end."
