What is the survival rate of stage 3 breast cancer?

As per the information from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, if detected early, there are significant chances of better survival rates with the help of advanced treatment options. At present, the 5-year survival rate of stage 3 breast cancer patients is around 80.6%, which is a promising number.

The survival rates cannot predict the lifespan of a cancer patient and it depends from individual to individual. The following factors generally influence it:

  • Type of breast cancer
  • Its response to the treatment
  • the growth rate of the tumor
  • other factors such as the medical history of the family, age, genetics, and overall health

We, along with all her well-wishers, hope for a speedy recovery. She is a strong individual who can emerge stronger than ever from this and fight the disease like a champion.
