Ravi Teja is an Indian actor and producer. His real name is Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupathiraju. He was born on 26 January 1968 in Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh. His sun sign is Aquarius. He completed his schooling from NSM Public School, Vijayawada. He earned a graduate degree in Arts from Sidhharth Degree College, Vijayawada.

His father, Raj Gopal Raju used to work as a pharmacist. His mother, Rajya Lakshmi Bhupathiraj is a homemaker. He has two brothers, Bharat Raju and Raghu Raju.   

He is married to Kalyani Teja. They have a son, Mahadhan Bhupathiraju, and a daughter, Moksha Bhupathiraju.

In the year 1990, Ravi Teja began his acting career with the Telugu film ‘Kartavyam.’

His 2001 film ‘Itulu Shravani Subramaniam’ was a turning point in his life. He received immense popularity for portraying the lead role of ‘Subramanyam.’

During his struggling days in the film industry, he lived with YVS Choudhary and Duna Shekhar in Chennai. 

Ravi Teja worked as an assistant director in the film ‘Ninne Pelladatha.’

The Telugu film ‘Kick 2’ was first offered to Mahesh Babu, but he rejected the offer, following which the film was offered to Ravi Teja.
