Dimple Kapadia made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Bobby’ in the year 1973. The film was a hit and received much love from the audience. 

She was the first Indian actress to sport a bikini in a film. 

Dimple was honoured with the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film ‘Bobby.’

For the next 12 years, Dimple Kapadia did not appear in any films. It was rumoured that Rajesh Khanna did not allow her to act in films.
