Tokyo: Japan is bracing for torrential rain and extremely strong winds as typhoon Trami is approaching its landfall over the weekend.
"As it is forecast to go across Japan at a high speed, we are urging people to be vigilant,” said the country’s meteorological agency.

The typhoon is expected to turn eastward, very close to the islands of Okinawa and Amami on Saturday, where it will cause very heavy rainfall. Then it is likely to pick up speed and approach western Japan on Sunday, according to reports by Channel News Asia.
Several flights have been already cancelled by Japan's main two airlines JAL and ANA.
