Geneva (Switzerland): Minutes after Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday (September 10) finished his speech at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session in Geneva, Switzerland, he referred to Jammu and Kashmir as an "Indian state".

Speaking to reporters after the UNHRC session, Qureshi said, "India is trying to give an impression to the world that life has returned to normalcy. If the life has returned to normalcy, then I say, why don't they allow you, the media, why don't they allow the international organisations, NGOs, civil society organisations to go into the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and see for themselves to assess the reality."

As the Pakistan minister's comment went viral on social media, several Twitter users mocked Qureshi and thanked him for finally accepting Jammu and Kashmir as Indian states.
