Cape May Police Department managed to return a lost pug to her owner, but not before going through all the procedure, including a mugshot.
Cape May Patrolman, Michael LeSage found Bean in a yard on 15 July. LeSage told The Star-Ledger of Newark that the dog could not hop into his car as her legs were too small and he had to lift her.
Bean’s mugshots were clicked and were circulated on Social Media with a witty caption, “This is what happens when you run away from home. This guy was captured sneaking through yards on the 1300 block on New Jersey Avenue.”
Soon Bean’s hooman contacted the police. LeSage posted that Bean was released on bail, for which she paid in cookies.
Hadley Hubbard of Baltimore, Maryland, thanked the police after being reunited with his beloved pet. He also posted that Bean was sound asleep after the eventful day.
The mugshot posted on Facebook by Cape May Police Department garnered 8, 359 shares and 4,700 reactions at the time of writing the article.
While one internet user wrote, “Not a mugshot but a pugshot. Mover over Mugsy this pug is taken over,” another person commented, “Hysterical!!! Glad the little guy found his family”
