Miles Routledge, a UK YouTuber, faces backlash for racist remarks and controversial content on X, including a video with offensive comments targeting India and its people.

Miles Routledge, a UK-based YouTuber who gained attention after being stranded in Afghanistan during the 2021 Taliban takeover, is now at the center of controversy. Routledge recently shared a meme video on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), showing U.S. President Joe Biden launching nuclear missiles from hidden silos. The video was accompanied by a caption where Miles Routledge made a provocative statement about using nuclear weapons as a warning to foreign powers, including a disturbing comment about launching attacks on India “just for the sake of it.”

When I become prime minister of England, I'll open the nuclear silos as an explicit warning to any foreign power that interferes with British interests and affairs.

I'm not talking huge incidents, I'm itching to launch and atomize entire nations over the smallest infraction. pic.twitter.com/UGBKYB3pku

Derogatory Comments and Reactions
Following the video, Miles Routledge’s social media activity took a darker turn. He shared a tweet from an anonymous user, which he used as an opportunity to make derogatory comments about Indians. In one response, Routledge made offensive remarks about a user's mother and mocked their employment situation, using racially insensitive language. Another tweet from Miles Routledge included a comment about an Indian threatening him, which he found amusing and shared publicly.

Defending His Actions
When confronted about his comments, Miles Routledge defended his actions, claiming his statements were not meant to be taken seriously. He further expressed his dislike for India, making sweeping generalizations about Indians. His defense did little to quell the widespread criticism, as many found his remarks offensive and inappropriate. The backlash against Miles Routledge highlights the ongoing issue of racism and insensitivity on social media platforms.
