Melbourne: A video of a deliveryman in Australia grabbing a bite from the customer's order between deliveries has turned into an internet sensation. In the video, the Uber Eats employee opens the package after ringing the doorbell, takes a bite from it, and wipes his hands on his trousers.
A report on Daily Mail said that the incident took place in Melbourne, which was witnessed by a friend of radio show host Eddie McGuire. The friend also told the audience through the show that such incidents are common and when the package is delivered, the client feels it is light.
The Uber Eats spokesperson issued a statement saying the delivery partners using Uber Eats are expected to follow the norms. The person in question can lose access to the app "for tampering with orders". Daily Mail quoted him as saying, "The company encourages customers to contact and report us with any concerns or issues relating to the order and mode of delivery and we will work to resolve these with them."
