Holi is a significant day in India where people celebrate the victory of good and also the love of Radha and Lord Krishna. Many countries also enjoy this day, celebrating it with amazing food, music, and programmes. 

This year Holi will be celebrated on March 25, 2024. It is a grand festival in India celebrated all over the nation with extreme zeal and excitement. People start preparing days before the main event as it is a day of colours and mouth-watering food with friends and family. But it is not just India, other nations like Australia, Canada, Nepal, and many others also take part in the celebration and enjoy the festivities. Let's explore and learn about how Holi is celebrated all over the world. 

1. Australia 

Australia has many people from Indian backgrounds. Many Indian students and residents reside there along with travellers. The day of Holi in Australia consists of people celebrating on the streets with colours everywhere. Indian food fests and amazing fairs are organised with the air filled with beautiful music and smells of delicious food.

2. Canada

A significant chunk of the population of Canada is from India. Many people celebrate the festival and enjoy the energy and fun of this day. Numerous traditional programs and events take place and people also enjoy a feast of Indian food. 

3. Mauritius 

It is a beautiful island country with many people of Indian origin. The streets are lively and full of colours and traditional music. The markets are filled with colourful spray guns, 'pichkaris', gulal, and Puja items. Many Holi events are organised at stunning beaches and parks. 

4. USA

The USA celebrates Holi as a festival of love and brotherhood. People gather together and enjoy colours and a fusion of great traditional Indian food and Western food. New York organises Holi parades called Colour Run with amazing food, Bollywood music, and many celebrities from all over the world. 

5. Nepal

A large population of Nepal celebrates Holi and participates in the Holika Dahan. People joyfully throw colour everywhere and enjoy an array of delectable food and beverages.
