This comes days after two minors, Raveena (13) and Reena (15), were abducted from Sindh’s Gotki district on Holi eve and converted to Islam after being married.
Hyderabad/New Delhi: Sindh province in Pakistan continues to be the hotbed of Hindu minority persecution even as Hindu groups in the neighbouring country have raised the matter for the immediate attention of Pak premier Imran Khan. Another Hindu girl was abducted from Hyderabad in Sindh. The girl is also a minor aged 14, just as the last two cases.
According to MyNation’s sources in Pakistan, the parents of the girl have been protesting, but to no avail, as the Pakistani authorities have so far taken no action in the matter.
The girl, who has been identified as Sonia Bhil was abducted on either Saturday or Sunday, just a few days after Holi.
The incident took place in the Tando Yousuf police station of Hyderabad district. According to sources, while the distraught parents of the child have lodged a complaint, there has been no movement in the investigation and hence no efforts to rescue the victim.

Later a video surfaced in which a Muslim cleric was seen solemnising their nikah or marriage.
This series of forced conversions after abduction came after Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s assurance of safety to minorities, in which he claims is a New Pakistan and his allegations against India.
“Naya Pakistan is Quaid’s Pakistan and we will ensure that our minorities are treated as equal citizens, unlike what is happening in India,” Khan had tweeted recently.
The Pakistani establishment has been called out and criticised in a wave of protest on social media.

Earlier, Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj had called for a report on the incident from the Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan.

While a spat broke out between Swaraj and Pakistani minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Hussain, the latter even misspelled the name of his own country. He called Pakistan, ‘Pakistin’.
“Mam its Pakistin internal issue and rest assure its not Modi’s India where minorities are subjugated its Imran Khan’s Naya Pak where white color of our flag is equally dearer to us. I hope you ll act with same diligence when it comes to rights of Indian Minorities," he wrote on Twitter.
