Bengaluru: You can call it the heights of being insane and careless and probably, even sadistic!

Here is a story that will leave you disgusted!

A supermarket in the US state of Pennsylvania threw out fresh fruit, vegetables and meat worth a whopping $35,000!

But why would a supermarket do that?

Well, as reported by a website, a woman came into the store and started coughing all over the products amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Amid the scare of the pandemic, the authorities were forced to dispense with it.

The unidentified woman, who is said to regularly act as a nuisance at Gerrity's Supermarket in Hanover Township, reportedly came in on Tuesday (24 March) especially to cough on food during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The website also quoted a shop worker who wrote on the store's Facebook page: "Today was a very challenging day. At 2.20 pm, I got a call from our Hanover Township store. The manager informed that a woman, who the police know to be a chronic problem in the community, came into the store and proceeded to purposely cough on our fresh produce, and a small section of our bakery, meat case and grocery.”

He also wrote on the loss of food.

He said, "I'm also absolutely sick to my stomach about the loss of food. While it is always a shame when food is wasted, in these times when so many people are worried about the security of our food supply, it is even more disturbing."

Thankfully, the woman did not show any symptoms of Covid-19. But the police have arrested her and there are reports that criminal charges will be pressed against her.

This incident came close on the heels of another student – a 26-year-old – licking a deodorant at a store St Louis, Missouri.
