Nairobi: Four Indians, including a UN consultant attached with the environment ministry, died in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash on March 10.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj confirming the incident said, "I am trying to reach the family of Shikha Garg who has unfortunately died in the air crash. I have tried her husband's number many times. Please help me reach her family,"

The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 crashed Sunday morning en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi with 149 passengers and 8 crew members.
Swaraj also said that the ministry has asked the Indian High Commissioner in Ethiopia to extended all help and assistance to the bereaved families.

The Ethiopian State broadcaster EBC said that there were no survivors in the crash. People holding passports from more than 30 countries and the UN were on board.
The plane plowed into a field southeast of Addis Ababa, the airline's CEO Tewolde GebreMariam told journalists in the Ethiopian capital, lamenting the "very sad and tragic day." The crash came on the eve of a major assembly in Nairobi of the UN Environment Program.
