Speeding train hits elephant dead in Sakaleshpur

Hassan: An elephant was found dead next to the railway track in Hassan's Sakleshpur sub-division in Karnataka. The reports revealed that the elephant was hit by a speeding train while crossing the railway track to return to the forest when the Karwar-Bengaluru passenger train rammed against it. After the mishap, the villagers urged the state government to install railway barricades around the forest border and help human beings and wild animals live peacefully.
