Officials who interrogated Kasab told MyNation that the terrorists were advised by their handlers to sport red bands. The ISI could not succeed in passing off the Mumbai 26/11 attack as one of Hindu terror.
Bengaluru: The cat is out of the bag again. This time it is the lead investigator of the Mumbai 26/11 attack, who has said that there was a deliberate attempt to manufacture a Hindu terror plot.
Had this not been stopped, we would have known Ajmal Kasab as Samir Choudhary, former police commissioner of Mumbai, Rakesh Maria, who led the 26/11 investigation, has said in his book.
Let Me Say It Now:
Maria’s book titled, “Let Me Say It Now”, speaks about a conspiracy by Pakistan to pass of the attack as an act of Hindu terrorism. Kasab, one of the ten terrorists who was caught alive, had tied a red thread on his wrist as part of the ISI conspiracy.
Kasab was carrying with him an identification card that bore the name Samir Choudhary. It was stated in the card that he was a student of a college in Hyderabad. The card also had a fake address of Bengaluru, Maria further writes. Had Kasab not been caught, the investigators could have never traced his origin to Pakistan. The cops would have conducted investigations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru on the basis of the identification card. The ISI was clearly worried that Kasab had been caught and the Pakistan spy agency made every attempt to eliminate him in jail, Maria also says.
When the Congress made similar attempts:
BJP leader, Ram Madhav, said that the revelations are huge. The ISI could not succeed in passing off the attack as one of Hindu terror. He also said that some Congress leaders and others made attempts to blame Hindus for the attack.
Some intellectuals had tried to link the attack to the RSS and they had the support of the Congress leaders. The conspiracy by the ISI was being taken forward by some so-called intellectuals, Madhav also said.
The BJP also said that the term Hindu terror was coined at the behest of former union home minister, P Chidambaram. Union minister Piyush Goyal said that the UPA and Congress party had raised the bogey of Hindu terror in the country.
The fake bogey of Hindu terror:
Officials who interrogated Kasab told MyNation that the terrorists were advised by their handlers to sport red bands. This was done to divert the attention of the investigators. David Hadley too said during his interrogation that it was he who had purchased the bands for the terrorists.
While the probe was on, there was another narrative about the killing of Hemant Karkare. AR Antulay of the Congress went on to say that there is more than what meets the eye. He demanded a separate probe into the killing of Karkare.
Another attempt to blame the Hindus was made by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, who took part in the launch of a book titled, “RSS ki Saazish-26/11”.
Further, the group editor of Roznama Rashtriya Sahara, Aziz Burney blamed the CIA, RSS, Mossad and Narendra Modi for the attack.
And then came a book:
While the nation was grappling with the horror and the investigators were painstakingly probing the case, a book titled ‘Who Killed Karkare’ was released. The book was written by former inspector general of police, SM Mushrif.
In the book, he blamed the overall attack on the Pakistanis. However, in the case of the killing of Karkare, he had a different angle. He said that some right wing groups took advantage of the situation that night and killed Karkare. The right wing groups knew fully well that Karkare would come on to the streets, and thus took advantage of the situation and killed him, he also writes in the book, while terming it as a perfect act of synchronisation.
It was during the Congress rule that the narrative in several cases were changed. The Malegaon, Samjauta, Ajmer and Mecca Masjid cases have all had two probes. At first, these attacks were blamed on the Islamic groups, but over a period of time, the Hindus were blamed for these attacks. In the Samjauta blasts case, the narrative was changed despite the US treasury department suggesting in June 2009 that the attack was carried out by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.
