Election results 2019: Mandya voters cast Nikhil Kumaraswamy out of real picture

Days after Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy said that the people of Mandya would prove the media wrong by voting for his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy and choose him over independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, the situation turned out to be quite the opposite for the JD(S). The people of Mandya chose Sumalatha over Nikhil Kumaraswamy in what has been termed as an ‘end of the dynasty politics of the JD(S).’
