Yeddyurappa to Veerashaivas: It is a ‘mistake’ if you vote for Congress

Kalgi: Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday (May 14) lashed out at the Congress for their insensitive behaviour towards former state chief minister late Veerendra Patil and said that it’s a 'mistake' if Veerashaivas once again vote for the Congress.  

This comment was made by Yeddyurappa while addressing a public gathering in Karnataka's Kalgi.

Congress's Patil served twice (1968 to 71, 1989-90) as Karnataka chief minister. He belonged to the Lingayat community. He passed away in 1997 at the age of 73.
