Hubballi: Pralhad Joshi, the Union minister for Parliamentary affairs and coal and mine was given a rousing reception in Hubballi, Karnataka. This was the first time he arrived in the city after assuming charge. A bike rally, in which more than 1,000 BJP workers participated, was also held.
Speaking to the media, the minister did touch upon the sensitive issue of the sharing of the water of River Mahadayi. He said that several petitions were pending and it was not possible to issue any notification. He urged Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and water resources minister DK Shivakumar to come to Delhi and discuss the issue in-depth.
