Rahul Gandhi's meeting with techies doesn't go as planned, pro-Modi slogans raised

Bengaluru: Congress president Rahul Gandhi was welcomed with pro-Modi slogans at Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru on Monday. Scores of people held placards and shouted slogans praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rahul addressed employees of the tech park about a host of issues including those faced by entrepreneurs.

The tech park hosts around 1.5 lakh employees with around 68 companies located in the 300-acre park.

Rahul interacted with only a small percentage of employees, who had been selected for the meetup.

However, the scene outside was not something that Rahul had probably expected. Hundreds of employees, who were not part of the selected invitees, thronged the venue and had to be held back by police barricades as well as officers.

As soon as Rahul’s convoy rolled in, chants of ‘Modi, Modi’ could be heard.
