Bengaluru: Days after the Congress-JD(S) led coalition government in Karnataka was routed in the 17th Lok Sabha election, Congress MLAs Ramesh Jarkiholi (Gokak) and Dr K Sudhakar (Chikkaballapura) met senior BJP leader and former state chief minister SM Krishna on Sunday (May 26).
As the two decided to meet Krishna at his residence, Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa and Mandya MP-elect Sumalatha Ambareesh were also visiting him at the same time. Rumours spread that Krishna’s residence was emerging as the new rallying point for disgruntled Congress MLAs who were keen on jumping the ship.
However, speaking to reporters, Ramesh Jarkiholi denied the rumours and said that it was a coincidence to meet Yeddyurappa and Sumalatha at the same time.
