‘Mysterious box’ in PM Modi’s helicopter: Congress demands EC probe; Chitradurga SP clarifies

A video of a box being carried hurriedly by the security personnel from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's helicopter has been shared by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao on his Twitter handle. The video is from the time when PM Modi visited Chitradurga on April 9 for an election campaign. Rao alleged that the 'mysterious box' was loaded into a private Innova car and the vehicle sped away. He has demanded a probe by the Election Commission (EC). "A mysterious box was unloaded from PM Modi’s helicopter at Chitradurga yesterday and loaded into a private Innova which quickly sped away. The #ElectionCommission should enquire into what was in the box and to whom the vehicle belonged. @ceo_karnataka (sic)," wrote Rao. However, reacting on the same, district superintendent of police Dr K Arun has clarified that the box belonged to the Special Protection Group (SPG) and it had some security tools.
