Mandya: At 36 degrees maximum temperature in Mandya, Karnataka, one would hardly come out to vote. But a seven-year-old boy who accompanied his grandmother to the polling booth, distributed water bottles to help the voters beat the heat. The boy and his grandmother distributed water bottles to voters and election officials helping them quench their thirst in searing heat. The boy is identified as Pradhan Gowda. He is a Class 1 student of Brigade School in JP Nagar, Bengaluru. His Grandmother Geetha said this is a small opportunity she got to do social service as the heat in unbearable due to the increase in temperature. On Thursday, Karnataka’s 14 Parliamentary constituencies were voting while the remaining 14 will go to polls on April 23.
