Chennai: Kamal Haasan, the founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), urged voters not to miss the opportunity to change Tamil Nadu, on the last day of campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. He was addressing the public on Kamarajar Salai (Beach Road) in Chennai on Tuesday. The actor-turned-politician also said not to vote for forces that break India. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha election to Vellore constituency in Tamil Nadu has been cancelled following a huge cash haul. Tamil Nadu goes to polls on April 18.
The candidates of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) handed Kamal Haasan a signed statement in bond paper that said they would resign if they failed to work in their constituency. The actor addressed the people and asked which other party candidates would do something like this other than MNM.
