Shivamogga: Hundreds of bikers took to the streets to spread awareness about Yoga in Karnataka’s Shivamogga ahead of World Yoga Day.
The bike rally was flagged by Shivamogga district superintendent of police (SP) Ashwini and it ended at a Yoga centre near Vinobanagar, Jail circle. Yoga is considered to be an ancient practice which originated in India. The practice is considered to be almost 5,000 years old.
The United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014, announced that June 21 will be seen as International Yoga Day or World Yoga Day. Since 2015, International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide.
