Bengaluru: Celebrations broke out across Karnataka after India defeated Pakistan by 89 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method at the ICC World Cup 2019 on Sunday (June 16).
Rohit Sharma paved the way for India’s success in Manchester with 140 runs off 113 balls, winning the Man-of-the-match award. Kuldeep Yadav picked the wickets of Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman leaving Pakistan stunned in the run chase of 337.
Soon after, midnight celebrations broke out across Karnataka. Bike rallies with people carrying the Indian flags were seen in parts of the state .
