Why did Indian Government cancel TRS MLA Ramesh’s citizenship?

The citizenship of TRS MLA C Ramesh was cancelled by the ministry of home affairs. The MHA said that it had cancelled the citizenship on the ground that the MLA from Vemulawada in north Telangana had misrepresented facts at the time of applying for citizenship. Ramesh has been a citizen of Germany in the past and had applied for Indian citizenship in 2008. He has been an Indian citizen since 2009.
