Guwahati/New Delhi: A Royal Bengal Tiger that has strayed out of the Orang National Park in the Darrang and Sonitpur districts Assam created panic in the nearby villages.
According to the reports, the tiger strayed out of the national park a few days back.
Some locals on Wednesday had spotted the tiger in a paddy field near human habitation close to the national park.
Locals had immediately informed the forest department and the park authorities.
The forest department and park authorities are engaged to trap the tiger.
It is to be mentioned that, a Royal Bengal Tigress, that had strayed out of the park 16 months ago is still mysteriously missing.
The Orang National Park also known as Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park, is 78.81 sq km and is home to the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, pygmy hog, elephants, wild buffalo and tigers.
